Today I'd like to tell you about an eventful day in Brisbane. The night at the gas station wasn't too bad.
We woke up to dry weather this morning. Unfortunately, it wouldn't stay that way. I had heard or read somewhere that there are dolphins in Ballina Bay, which sometimes even come very close to the beach.
As we'd hoped for so long last night, we finally had decent weather again today. But we also decided not to linger at this campsite and set off right after breakfast, heading toward the beach.
When we got up this morning, the sun was shining brightly and we were able to have breakfast outdoors. Unfortunately, that didn't last.
Last evening it started to rain lightly, and it actually continued all the way until our arrival in Port Macquarie.
This morning we decided to quickly make coffee in the kitchen and then head straight out. We preferred to have breakfast on the beach with a view of the wide ocean.
After breakfast, we headed to the nearby beach this morning. Just like during my last visit, the endless stretch of beach and dunes was truly impressive.
We didn't have too much planned for today. After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we left the van parked and took the ferry to Circular Quay again to visit the Opera House. We took countless photos, both of each other and together.
Today my mother and I had a lot planned. Thankfully, not as many things went wrong as yesterday. However, two things did turn out differently than expected.
